Is FileEase really free?

Yes. Every tool on FileEase is free to use. There is no signup, no watermark and no trial period.

Are my files safe?

Your files are processed inside your own browser and are not uploaded to our servers. When you close the page, they are gone.

Do I need to install anything?

No. FileEase works in your browser on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux.

Can I use FileEase on my phone?

Yes. The tools are designed to work well on small screens, so you can merge, compress or convert files right from your phone.

Why is Word to PDF or PDF to Word limited?

These two tools convert text only. Bold text, tables, images and exact layout are not kept yet. We plan to improve them in the future.

How do I reduce an image to a specific size like 50 KB?

Open Compress Image, add your photo and lower the quality slider until the size shown is under your limit. JPG works best for this.

Why did my file not open?

Make sure the file type matches the tool: PDF tools need PDF files, image tools need JPG, PNG or WebP. iPhone HEIC photos should be converted to JPG first. Password-protected PDFs may not work.

Why is my PDF slow to process?

Large files use your device memory. Try a smaller file, close other tabs, or split the PDF first.

Which browser should I use?

Any up-to-date browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
